Genuine Parts Credit Union (GPCU) offers some of the same services offered by banks and other credit unions, but the two primary benefits of joining GPCU are its savings accounts and its loans.  GPCU does not want to replace your existing bank or credit union, but rather to help you enjoy some of the benefits credit union membership at Genuine Parts Company has to offer.

When you join a credit union, also known as a cooperative, you are opening a share savings account and becoming one of its members.  Membership is limited to GPC employees so only individual accounts are available.  There is a minimum account balance of $5.00 which can be funded one of several ways after the employee becomes a member.

Saving is easy to do by using self-service payroll deduction and the credit union pays higher than average interest/dividends on your deposits with average daily balances of $50.00 or more.  We encourage our members to save for the future or that unexpected rainy day but your funds are always available should you need them.  Recurring and excess withdrawals are discouraged but check requests can be submitted through Online Banking should you need a withdrawal.  Debit cards are not available with savings accounts.  For additional information on savings accounts please visit the Savings page.

The credit union offers several types of secured and unsecured loans.  These loans are typically easier to get than at other financial institutions and usually at a lower interest rate.  One of the loans, the Signature Loan, provides a special benefit to some of our members.  It can be a quick and easy source of funds for emergencies.  It can also help members to either establish or reestablish their credit score.  For additional information on the loan program please visit the Loans page.

For members who would like to have all of their financial services at one credit union, share draft checking accounts that offer checks and debit cards are available and an application for the checking account can be requested by sending an email to Credit_Union@genpt.com after you become a member of the credit union.  At this time bill pay, remote deposit, wire transfers and other services are not available with these accounts.  For additional information on checking accounts please visit the Checking page.
